Young people aged 12 to 25 can contribute to reducing the impact of COVID-19 without leaving home, and develop key BNCC skills at the same time.

Young people from all over Brazil and the world are being called upon to unite in a gymkhana to fight the coronavirus, without leaving home. The Journey X Operation Antivirus gymkhana mobilizes young people aged 12 to 25 to create and apply solutions for various fronts of impact of the pandemic, such as helping risk groups, fighting fake news, thinking about solutions for the economy, the lack of water, health of the population and in addition to creating challenges according to the reality they live in.

Operation Antivirus is based on Jornada X, whose framework proposes a collaborative, entirely safe, fast, free and fun gymkhana. The idea was born from a provocation by Edgard Barki, from the Entrepreneurship Center of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation, to Edgard Gouveia Júnior, co-founder of LiveLab, who has already applied the format in other games, such as Primavera X, whose objective was to protect water sources Brazilian water.

BNCC key competences

In the midst of a scenario in which it is still unclear how schools will adapt to isolation as a measure to contain the virus, the game is also an opportunity to develop 10 key competencies of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC).
